Weekly summary 21/2021

Hi,

this is a summary of what was going in the doll world in the 21st week of 2021, as far as we at Dollstudio & DS Doll Europe were concerned.

1) Corona situation. a) The situation in general. Reported 'cases' drop in most European countries, several U.S. states like Texas and Florida have mostly lifted lockdowns and mask mandates, and there is pending legislation to ban discrimination if one decides not to take the emergency use injections. Reported injuries and deaths from or with the Corona injections keep climbing up. Corona ripple effects like supply chain disruptions and inflationionary tendencies are becoming part of everydays life.

With now 56 studies including 28 Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) reporting positive effects of Ivermectin, there is sufficient research proving the efficacy of Covid-19 prophylaxis and treatment protocols like I-MASK+ and MATH+ available. Also, as reported in the Lancet, inhalation of Budesonid can reduce the probability of severe courses of disease by 90%. These are clear indications that the SARS-CoV-2 virus is similarily managable like any other easily transmissible virus. For what plausible reason is treatment and prophylaxis with Ivermectin or Budesonid still suppressed? #FollowtheScience.

b) Impact on the doll business. International transit times for doll shipments to EU destinations still might require some patience, though some shipments make it within about 20 days from mainland China to Europe. Shipping to destinations in North America is almost back to normal with transit times between about one week and two weeks at maximum.

2) New arrivals.

This week, four new heads were introduced:

• 6Ye Premium no. 68 head (= 6Ye no. 68) - TPE
• 6Ye Premium no. 146 head (= 6Ye no. 146) - TPE
• Irontech Doll ›Angelina‹ head - TPE
• SE Doll ›Lydia‹ head (= SE no. 106) - silicone

Also, four new body styles were released:

• New arrivals: 6Ye Premium 6Ye-158 - TPE / ~158 cm / ~30 kg
• New arrivals: 6Ye Premium 6Ye-162 - TPE / ~162 cm / ~36 kg
• New arrivals: Secrether ZC-155/I body style - silicone / ~155 cm / ~27 kg
• New arrivals: WM Dolls WM-160/A body style - TPE / 160 cm / 34 kg

No new head variants of existing heads were introduced.

3) Industry news.

Also, since March 14th, 2021, TDF-accredited vendors are no longer allowed to link to "pages that promote dolls that are disallowed at TDF", including their own shop websites. This is a historical milestone. Additionally, numerous pictures by popular photographers like Mizuwali (e.g. Piper Doll) and Mandos (WM Dolls) habe been dissaproved by TDF management.
