Weekly summary 52/2020

Hi,

this is a summary of what was going in the doll world in the 52nd week of 2020, as far as we at Dollstudio & DS Doll Europe were concerned.

1) Coronavirus situation. a) The pandemic situation in general. The charade continues in many parts of the word. On one hand: Increasing numbers with infections keep getting fabricated. Lockdowns. Civil rights suspended. Restrictions even during the Christmas holidays. On the other hand: Efficacious treatment and prophylaxis protocols keep getting suppressed. Manipulation and censorship all around the world. The free world has lost their voice.

What hellhole has the world become.

However, the solution to the pandemic exists for months:

b) Impact on the doll business. Unsurprisingly, packages did not move during Christmas holidays; basically everything in transit is parked since Dec 23rd. Between Dec 28th and Dec 30th some packages will move and then wait until 2021. By the end of 2020, a couple of Chinese doll makers have already announced their cut-off times for Chinese New Year holidays in February. These factories will not accept new orders until March.

2) New arrivals.

Dollstudio added one new manufacturer in the past week:

• Dollstudio now carrying Textile Dolls from Latvia!

This week, three new heads were introduced:

• Textile Doll ›Cartoon‹ head - fabric/plush
• Textile Doll ›Crystal‹ head - fabric/plush
• WM Dolls no. 378 head (= Jinsan no. 378) - TPE

New head variants of older heads:

• SE Doll ›Charlot‹ head - TPE (alias name for Luis = SE no. 021)

No new body styles were released.
