Market overview anime/manga dolls

here is a quick market overview for anime/manga dolls.

Regarding life-sized anime dolls, the first and foremost incarnation is Happy[ness] Doll. Fabric, affordable, posable, easy to manage, medium- to life-sized and faces which capture anime/manga style quite well. Lots of different facial expressions available.

If someone asks for a Chobit, a Happy Doll would be always my first recommendation.

Body height range is 160-165 cm, body proportions are realistic, so these dolls can wear regular womens clothing.

For those who do not like the stylization coming with the fabric material, there is another group of brands to take a look: Jiangmen factory, with the brands Doll House 168, Doll Forever, Piper Doll, and recently Irokebijin. The designer (Mizuwali on Twitter) is kind of an Otaku himself, and some of his creations breath anime/manga spirit as well.

For a medium body height there would be the Azazel anime demon head, which would work best for Doll Forever bodies between ~135 and ~146 cm. This would be a TPE doll.

Also there is the 2020 model lineup from Doll House 168. This includes four face variants with different expressions, silicone dolls with 80 cm body height, or two face variants for a 140 cm silicone body, e.g. 140 cm variant) and 80 cm variant.

Also noteweorthy: a couple of years ago, Doll Sweet ventured into anime territory; their Cartoon anime/manga head is designed for the 145 cm silicone dolls and has unusual options like a silicone wig (which can be replaced with a regular wig).

Also, there were two heads from Z-Onedoll (ZO-A36 and ZO-A37) which are now discontinued since ZO went out of business. The ZO-A36 head is the only solid silicone head which is big enough to fit on any doll up to ~170 cm as it is huge and heavy (~3 kg).
