Unboxing Doll House 168 DH20-80/E & DH20-80/G with ›Shiori‹ and ›Nao‹ heads

this Unboxing will cover an order with two bodies (Doll House 168 DH20-80/E and DH20-80/G) and four heads (›Shiori‹ #1, #2, and #3, and ›Nao‹).

This Unboxing will not include in-depth reviewing like an endoscope inspection.

1) Shipping & Packaging.

The order was shipped in two separate boxes. The order was placed at the same time, but the boxes arrived with several weeks interval. Since Doll House 168 does not provide factory photos for these miniature dolls, it took quite some guessing if and when the order would be processed, and it was quite surprising when the first shipment arrived with just half of the order. It would be really helpful if DH168 would communicate this before the customer gets an heart attack when opening the box. Except for the delay and the surprise, shipping was smooth and quick.

The dolls are packaged in small boxes of approximately 77×26×22 cm. The boxes weight between 8,6 and 8,8 kg.

Was box was wrapped in cling film, the other was held together by transparent tape. Both boxes arrived in good condition without major dents or scratches. For EU destinations, Doll House 168 uses a different logistics than for the bigger dolls; the carrier is DHL Express and the gateway is located in France.

2) Padding and Wrapping.

The dolls are wrapped and padded very similar to average TPE dolls as we are used to for the past years. The walls of the box are padded with styrofoam sheets, and there are a few styrofoam bricks to protect the doll from moving around in the box.

On top of the box are the wigs and outfits, the dolls are wrapped in a plush blanket but no in a plastic bag. The heads rest beween the bodies legs and are wrapped in an extra layer of padding.

Lower arms/hands and lower legs/feet are also extra padded.

There is no special packaging as we have seen from doll makers like Z-Onedoll, Sino-doll, and most recently Doll Sweet.

Overall, padding and wrapping is average, but sufficient (at least in these two cases).

3) The Bodies.

Both DH20-80 bodies have a cute body shape, feminine and curvy. They are miniaturized fantasy women, the "E" cup variant with relatively big and the "G" cup variant with relatively huge breasts. Though, everything remains aesthetic and has a certain style.

The TPE material used for these dolls is soft; they are manufactured at Jiangmen factory, so it is the TPE blend which is also used for Doll Forever and Piper Doll. For my own taste this material is too soft, but clearly YMMV. I am pretty sure that exactly this softness will make these dolls pretty popular. A comparison with the silicone variant would be quite interesting.

Regarding the lady parts, the vagina is small but usable to a certain degree thanks to the stretchy material, TPE in this case. There is no anus for anal sex, just a little hinted dot where the anous would be. Again, cute and stylish, and mindful as in a 80 cm doll there simply is no room for a reasonably wide anus. However, it is debatable if having sex with a miniature doll makes a lot of sense. With some probability it will not extend the doll's lifespan.

Body makeup is applied all over the body, similar to a life-sized TPE doll. It is the usual semi-permanent body makeup. However, it is cleanly applied, even on the miniature finger and toes 'nails'. Very impressive.

Fingers are movable and have wires embedded. All fingers and toes are separated. Considering the size - wow!

4) The Heads.

The heads are excellently designed. They truly breath anime/manga, they not only try to look like anime/manga.

The ›Shiori‹ head comes in four variants (#1 to #4). The four ›Shiori‹ faces show different expressions like curiosity or surprise. Very cute, very well done!

The huge anime eyes are movable and can be freely exchanged.

The neck connector is a M8 threaded rod. Very small and relatively delicate, but more appropriate than a standard M16 connector.

The connector is cleanly deburred and can be screwed smoothly onto the body. Exactly like a full-sized TPE doll, just a lot smaller.

The ›Nao‹ head has proportionally regular sized eyes, but it is also a fantasy creature with pointy elf ears. Considering the size of this head, there is a lot of detail in the sculpt and makeup, very impressive.

The eyes are expressive and high quality, much better than average TPE doll plastic half-rounds.

The eyes are movable which is outstanding for these huge anime/manga style eyes!

To preempt questions about oral sex: No, these heads do not have an oral canal. For illustration of the dimensions, the photo above shows the pencil I am using to adjust eyeballs. These are millimeters, definitely no room for an oral canal.

5) The Wigs.

There are four wigs available to choose from. Here they are:

Model numbers are JF44 4110# (gray), JF44 T1031/0848# (blonde), JF45 2333# (pink), and JF45 1109# (dark blonde/brown).

6) The Outfits.

In this case, the outfits were randomly selected.

Except for the add-on outfits like the rabbit costumes which are charged extra, you can not influence if and what type of outfit you get.

7) The Assembled Dolls.

The heads leave alittle gap around the neck. This is intentional to reduce friction, and the neck is actually in the middle of the connector. This is an indicator for a decent manufacturing quality.

The Dolls Side-by-side.

For photographers, these charming miniatures offer a lot potential. Though, the ›Nao‹ and the ›Shiori‹ heads are distinct types which will require some creativity bring together. I love elfs, but my personal favourites are clearly the ›Shiori‹ heads. There were a couple of other attempts to bring Anime/Manga style into solid dolls (e.g. Doll Sweet, Z-Onedoll), but - except for Happy Doll - so far nobody did get it right as Mizuwali/Doll House 169.

9) Conclusion.

The two DH20-80 body styles are cute miniature dolls, clearly resembling fantasy creatures in manga/anime respectively elf style.

Manufacturing quality is good, especially considering the low price point for these dolls. There were no problems with accessories or configuration.

Noteworthy is that these miniatures are really delicate. The fingers have wires, the neck thread is M8 and everything is super small. These dolls need to be handles with the utmost of prudence and carefulness or they might be ruined in no time.

However, for collectors and anime/manga fans, these dolls are outstanding options.
