Introducing the Doll Sweet ›Summit‹ model line
Introducing the Doll Sweet ›Summit‹ model line
Hi,
after a long time of development and refining, Doll Sweet finally released the Summit model line outside of China.
There are currently two different dolls available; I have already introduced them in two separate posts:
The new model lineup can be considered a major milestone tn the company history as it breaks with many characteristics we were used to from DS in the past decate.
Most notably, the Summit dolls have a seamless head which is fixed to the body. That means that you can not choose a different head like Sandy or Kayla. You need to like that head that comes with the body. This are the current choices:
DS-168 Summit aka Queena:
DS-152 Summit aka Jodie:
No doubt, these are attractive faces and excellent sculpts. So we will have to wait and see how many doll admirers will fall in love with these two.
However, fixed heads are not entirely new in the Doll Sweet universe. The DS-Mini had such seamless heads, too, and it were quite popular dolls.
Side note: With the neck plate from the head connector gone, there is no place for the serial number anymore. I haven't figured out yet if the Summit dolls still have a serial number engraved somewhere. It would be a shame if the had not.
The next major novelty is an updated skeleton. Talking about an 'update' is a bit restrained. You could also call it a killer feature as it is now industry-leading, again. And, it comes with articulated (hinged) fingers, and even with articulated (hinged) toes. Nobody else has this, so it's at least a 'Wow!' feature in the sense of demonstrating what is technically possible in 2020.
Here are some detail pictures of the skeleton:
And here is a video which demonstrates the joints and some other parts of the doll: https://youtu.be/noAoPMOniro (link points to Youtube).
I guess, with the articulated toes, the Summit dolls will become must have toys for foot fetishists.

Re: Introducing the Doll Sweet ›Summit‹ model line
Next thing noteworthy is that the head does not have a hole anymore, so the elegant hanging system we are used to from Doll Sweet won't work anymore. The alternative is a new accessory called Summit Hanger. It's basically a metal rod which is screwed into the doll's back:
Here is an instructive video which shows how to use the Summit Hanger: https://youtu.be/O61tO2RdcQ8 (link points to Youtube)
I highly recommend to watch this video as it does not only show the hanging device but also the DS-168 Summit in 'real'. To me, the body shape of this doll is just breathtaking in it's perfection.
Other doll makers have similar hanging devices; it's usually called an eye bolt (e.g. Maidlee Doll) or a back hook (e.g. Sino-doll).
When you need to screw a metal rod into some thread, there needs to be a hole. So in return for the capability to hang your Summit Doll, she will come with a hole in her back.
So far we don't know if the Summit dolls can stand on their own feet. Considering the softness of the foot it's probably not a good idea.
Another change is the so-called 'waxworks level make-up and colour painting' which is no longer limited to the head (like S-level makeup). The added details are now applied to the whole body, similar to other high-end skin surface finishings as we have seen from Gynoid Tech, Sino-doll (R+S), Hitdoll/Ildoll (H.R.), or 4woods. In this regard DS catches up with the other leading manufacturers. The same applies to the options for implanted human hair (facial hair, instead of a wig, and pubic hair, instead of a glued-on patch).
Here are a couple of pictures of the new dolls with a lot more body details:

Re: Introducing the Doll Sweet ›Summit‹ model line
At this point you are probably asking yourself if all the good stuff does not have a downside. And you are right, when there is a lot of light there is always some shadow.
The 'waxworks level make-up and colour painting' across the whole body has the side effect that the skin color can not be configured. There is just the standard color called 'pink' available.
Since the 167 and 167 Evo had similar limitations at the beginning, it is possible that DS will offer other skin colors at a later point in time. However, I have no confirmation for that. In case of other high-end dolls like Gynoid it's the same - one one default skin color.
Other limitations with no obvious technical reasons are: Joint adjustments are no longer possible; no more loose/tight joints, just the standard joint adjustment. And, very hard to understand: There is only one eye color (brown). Gynoid Tech has at least two (brown and gray). Since GT has this beyond-amazing eye machanism, I am willing to swallow that toad. The question is if DS has caught up with their eye mechanism, too. I do not have an answer for that yet.
Back to the side where there is much light. Actually that seems to be the lady parts.
Both Summit dolls have two body cavities, a fixed (built-in) vagina, and a also built-in anus.
Here are some pictures of the lady parts:
According to the specs, both orifices should be usable. The specifications are:
Yes, this should be fully usable for most Caucasian males, and it could be a game changer compared to the 167 and 167 Evo in the sex department, if these specs are realistic.
There might be visual evidence for this claim…
You can download a MP4 video (it's not on Youtube) which demonstrates the penetration of vagina and anus with Doll Sweet's silicone penis (dimensions, according to the mfr. website: "[…] the big dildo size is about 15cm length, diameter of 3.5cm"). Warning for the faint of heart: This video might be a bit arousing  - or disturbing as it's not exactly a 'making love' way of having sex.
Though, this video is absolutely worth watching for another reason. About 34 secs into the video the placement of the lady parts is shown, and it looks pretty accurate.
Anyway, if the orifices can by used by an actual male in a similar way as demonstrated with the silicone dildo in the video, it might mean that DS has cought up in regard to sex with Gynoid Tech. I am very curious what customer will report.
Last but not least, the is yet another area where DS has caught up. That's packaging:
Finally! That looks like the proper way to travel for a doll as precious as a Summit!
Since the dolls come with fixed head, the boxes are huge, heavy - and expensive:
That results in not-so-thrilling freight costs between $630 and $670, not including crisis surcharges (applicable for destinations like the U.S.) or import fees (applicable to all EU destinations and many other countries).
And that leads to the price. DS lists the Summit dolls for $4257 respectively $3400 for the standard configuration without special options (implanted hair, hanger). without Paypal fees or transaction costs, without freight costs, and without import fees. This makes the Summit dolls rather expensive, especially for Europeans with their hight customs and VAT rates. And it probably makes these dolls pretty exclusive. So if you want to own a member of doll aristocracy, you might want to start saving soon. *Checking wallet*… naaah, maybe not today
