A milestone of the genre is Swedish television series Äkta Människor (Real Humans, 2012) by Lars Lundström. The series takes place in a near future, in which human-like robots, called Hubots, belong to the normal everyday life. Here, too, everything is about artificial life, but the topic is expanded and also includes questions such as artificial consciousness and evolution outside biological entities. As early as 2015, a British remake was created under the title Humans.
